Agenda21 Meetings on the new General Town Plan

There will be a series of Agenda21 meetings on the PGOU (New General Town Plan) The first will be on Monday March 5th.

The object of the meetings is to draw up a "Concierto Previo" (a preliminary draft, proposing the general outlines of the future town plan to show the kind of town we want Xàbia to grow into.)

Scope of citizens' input:
1. Guidelines which will inspire urban evolution >>>>(what type of town do we foresee?)

2. Basic distribution (not detailed) of the classification of the land (urban, urbanisable, not urbanisable)>>>>> (What will be the distribution of the big coloured areas on the map?)

3. Main land uses (residential, intensive/extensive - industrial, commercial, tourist)>>>>>>>(What what will be the destiny or vocation of the land which is urbanised?)

4. Disposition of non-urbanisable land >>>>>>(How can we regulate the land which is not destined to be urbanised?)

5. Forecast of the equipping and modification of the road network>>>>>(What general equipment is considered necessary and to what extent will we have to modify the road network?)

There will be 4 meetings to draw up the "Concertio Previo"
1. General Briefing: Explanation of the process and background information on the development of the Concierto Previo (Monday March 5th Casa de Cultura 7.00pm)

2. 1st Work shop (In 3 groups) - contributions of the forum to Scopes 1, 2 and 3 - Wednesday , March 7th at the School IES No 1 at 7.00pm

3. 2nd Workshop (In 3 groups) - contributions of the forum to Scopes 4 and 5 - Monday March 12th at the School IES No 1 at 7.00pm

4. Validation and prioritisation of the group findings Wednesday March 14th at the School IES No 1 at 7.00pm

4th Workgroup meeting on Concierto Previo - 29th March

Thursday 29th March 4th session of Workgroups on the "Concierto Previo" of the General Plan (PGOU) Place: Casa de Cultura Time 8.00 pm At this meeting there will be a debate with all the workgroups together on questions still pending from previous meetings about the Concierto Previo. (Up until the date of the Meeting, documentation concerning the previous meetings can be collected from from the Agenda 21 Office in the Casa de Cultura)
