Agenda21 Xabia - Programme for June 2006

In the previous session of the local Agenda 21 members decided whether
they wanted Xàbia to grow or not, as well has how, when and where to. In
the next session on Thursday June 1st (8.00pm in the Casa de Cultura)
there will be a presentation of the proposals put forward and we will
look for consensus on a model of Land Use. Finally a document will be
produced with the citizen's idea for the development of the Municipality
over the next 15 years. This will be incorporated in the document
"Concierto previo" of the new General Town Plan.

On Thursday June 8th (8.00pm Casa del Cultura)
Forum on Mobility and Transport
We will discuss the problem of urban mobility and transport. That is to say, public urban transport, road safety, pedestrian zones, main roads, accessibility etc.
(There will be an article discussing this topic in the magazine Xabia al
Dia in June, with an English translation also available - this will be
useful as a basis for discussion)

On Monday 26th June (8.00pm in the Casa de Cultura)
Forum on Mobility and Transport
This will be the last meeting until the end of summer. At this meeting the proposals which met with common consensus will be prioritised to form the basis of a document of "basic directives" in relation to planning and management of mobility at the local level. Finally the "asistentes" (those who attend) will be treated to a "piscolabis" (snack) as a thank-you before the summer recess.

Main new features introduced by the new Land Law

4th Workgroup meeting on Concierto Previo - 29th March

Thursday 29th March 4th session of Workgroups on the "Concierto Previo" of the General Plan (PGOU) Place: Casa de Cultura Time 8.00 pm At this meeting there will be a debate with all the workgroups together on questions still pending from previous meetings about the Concierto Previo.
